If anyone knew me in middle school they'd know I had quite the impressive poncho collection. I personally find them extremely comfortable and styled properly they can look really modern and sophisticated... I never though i'd be saying those words about a poncho. I found this H&M grey wool poncho at Frenchy's, one of my favorite thrift shops for $3. Ponchos are great for fall since they can be worn with a light shirt underneath, and flats to keep cool when the weather is warmer, or they can be layered and worn with a chunky scarf and boots. I've styled mine with thick black tights that I picked up at a thrift store, but they're super basic and easy to find.
Since the weathers getting cooler I would wear this outfit with boots, preferably ankle boots. But I also think pairing a poncho with wedge sneakers gives it a more modern and cool look. These shoes are ASH and are normally $300. I got them for $7 at Value Village.
I paired it with a slouchy leather bag by Alternative. It's super casual and I love the long length of the strap. The bag itself is super thin leather which makes it light to carry. I finished off the outfit with a felt floppy hat from American Eagle.
